Scope and Impact

Telemedicine is a health care system that provides specialized services in suburban and rural areas. By assembling a team of dedicated health care providers, specialty services will become available to many underprivileged people.

Duration

One or two consultation sessions every month for two years.

Success Criteria

Provide services to at least 50 people per year in each rural area.

Cost

$5000 to set up a system in each area and $300 per month for each system

Progress Update

So far, we have rented a two room office and furnished it with medical equipment. We are looking for a dedicated doctor who is willing to serve the area of about 1000 people twice a month. We plan to start new clinics in different areas of Chittagong and in different districts of Bangladesh.
