| Description: | HBB is initiating a fund drive in this unprecedented crisis to help feed COVID-19 victims in Bangladesh. The project name is “COVID-19 Feed the Hungry – Bangladesh” would help 200 families each area across 4 different areas of Bangladesh that include Dhaka, Noakhali, Bogura and Satkhira. This project will provide each family with essential food to survive for two weeks or more. The target budget for the project is $9500.00. |
| Scope and Impact: | Due to COVID- 19, whole Bangladesh is under lockdown. Hence, poor, house maids, rickshaw pullers and day workers who live off their daily wages are suddenly fallen into the victims of COVID-19 hardship and have lost their only means of earning. These individuals directly impacted by the COVID-19 and families have become unemployed overnight. Starving and no meals a day becoming more prevalent in their day to day life. The project would help to these less fortunate and in particular, lessen some of their hardship with food assistance. |

The project provides relief from food insecurity resulting from COVID-19 related loss of income. This relief is a necessary step towards empowering marginalized communities and help them achieve economic independence. |
| Success Criteria/Sustainability: | Families will not have to skip meals during this project period. A report will be submitted at the end of the project, which will ensure that the target population was served as promised. |
