Progress Update

Dr. Syeda Kabir has completed a one day health camp at Basila, Dakhin Para, right outside Dhaka, on May 1st, 2016. This was a collaborative project between HBB and the Rotary Club of Dhaka North West, RI District 3281, and is the first phase of a long-term sustainable project in which HBB will use the Rotary Club’s existing facility and volunteers. With the help of local doctors and technology, HBB will continue to treat patients overseas.

The camp managed to treat over 900 patients in different medicine disciplines with the help of 15 volunteer doctors. Among them were specialists in pediatrics, psychiatry, internal medicine, family medicine, and even a dentist. Countless people from the area were able to see doctors for the first time, and medicine was handed out for no cost. In addition, those who required long-term treatment were given a prescription along with a treatment plan.
