Caldor Fire victim Aid, California
The intensity and frequency of wildfire activities in the US has been changed over decades specifically in the west, as conditions become hotter and drier due to climate change. Predominantly, extreme high temperature and strong wind are the two factors of wildfires as many Californians are experiencing this dire situation in the last several months. Many people lost their lives, homes, personal properties, and sadly became homeless! As you may know the recent Caldor fire is dominating El Dorado County and surrounding vicinity as we felt smokes, dusts, and unhealthy air quality in greater Sacramento regions.
Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated as the fire advances, with evacuation orders likely to remain in place until the end of the month, according to local authorities. In its infancy the Caldor fire covered little more than 1,000 acres but in the space of weeks, it had quickly grown to over 218,000 acres and affected more than 50,000 people per Cal Fire reporting. The brave firefighters had managed to get a handle on the blaze with 53% containment as of September 9, 2021.
