Ahsan Family
Scope and Impact
After suffering for two months, our dear friend and beloved community member Abul Ahsan passed away on July 24th. He was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. Abul was a helpful, kind, generous and genuine person, so the whole community is coping with this loss and is reaching out to others to help his family. He left behind a beautiful family of four children and his wife. Before his diagnosis, Abul was not working at his full capacity due to work related injuries, so his passing is something that we’re all trying to alleviate morally, mentally, and financially.
HBB has come forward to create a fund to support the livelihood, education, and health of his family for the next year. We hope by then that his family will be able to make some progress in recovering, and his wife can start supporting the family going foward.
How It Aligns With HBB’s Mission and Vision
HBB is comitted to help underpriviledged individuals and family in critical times to ensure health and education. HBB is also dedicated to helping the local communities in the greater Sacramento area. This project fits well with our mission and vision as it directly impacts the health, livelihood, and education needs of a family in critical condition.
Duration
1.5 years beyond depending on donor directed fund for this project.
Goal
Our primary goal was $30,000 but expected to exceed the goal due to critical nature and urgency to save and change the lives of the family members left behind. You can either pledge or donate website through PayPal. If you pledge, one of the HBB members will contact you to collect your donation. For donation through PayPal, please mention “Ahsan Family Support” in the purpose section. For your pledge or direct donation, please click here.
Success Criteria
The project will be considered successful if the following conditions are met:
1. HBB reaches or exceeds its fund goal.
2. Livelihood support for the family can be carried over for the next year.
3. Abul’s children can continue their education without being impacted due to financial problems.
4. Once this crisis time is over, hopefully through project, Abul’s wife will set up her own earnings by a year or 2 to take care of their family going forward.
***This project was completed successfully ending in 2018. The goal was achieved by donations from the community and the family members were put on track on their own by the financial support during critical time of their survival***
